Ron Bucca served as an FDNY Rescue 1 firefighter
Ron Bucca served as an FDNY Rescue 1 firefighter before being promoted to fire marshal. He also was a Defense Intelligence Agency reservist who supported the agency’s counterterrorism mission. On September 11, 2001, as an FDNY fire marshal, Bucca responded to the attacks on the World Trade Center. He was attempting to rescue victims in the South Tower when it collapsed.
