Please be advised that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has announced a federal government closure on Tuesday, 27 January 2026 due to expected severe weather conditions.

The Office of Facilities, Services, and Logistics is actively conducting necessary ice and snow removal efforts at our NCR facilities. This preparation is crucial for the safety and timely reporting of mission-essential employees.

Mission essential employees in the NCR locations are advised that there will be no shuttle or food services due to closure.

Stay safe and take the necessary precautions as we navigate this weather event.

Ron Bucca served as an FDNY Rescue 1 firefighter before being promoted to fire marshal. He also was a Defense Intelligence Agency reservist who supported the agency’s counterterrorism mission. On September 11, 2001, as an FDNY fire marshal, Bucca responded to the attacks on the World Trade Center. He was attempting to rescue victims in the South Tower when it collapsed.
