DIA DIRECTOR ADDRESSES CONGRESS AT HEARING BEFORE U.S. HOUSE ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE SUBCOMMITTEE ON INTELLIGENCE AND SPECIAL OPERATIONS
On Thursday, April 11, DIA Director Lt. Gen. Jeff Kruse testified to the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Intelligence and Special Operations alongside the Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security, the Honorable Milancy Harris, and the Director of the National Security Agency and Commander of U.S. Cyber Command, Gen. Timothy Haugh.

This was the second hearing that Kruse attended as the director of DIA. In his prepared testimony, he laid out DIA’s assessment of global threats and his priorities for posturing DIA to best meet these challenges. In the open session, Lt. Gen. Kruse also answered the Subcommittee’s questions on various topics including managing open-source intelligence, integrating emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, and how DIA balances its focus on China while maintaining global overwatch for other threats.
