By DIA Public Affairs

The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) announced that it awarded four new Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) Agreements September 28, 2018 to the following Mentors and Protégés:

·         Mentor:  Global Resource Solutions, Inc./ Protégé:  NetSecurity Corporation

·         Mentor:  Invictus International Consulting, LLC/ Protégé:  Blue Sky Innovative Solutions

·         Mentor:  Parsons Government Services, Inc./ Protégé:  Willbrook Solutions, Inc.

Each agreement is for a period of three years.

The work focus of these four awards includes: Artificial intelligence and machine learning, new analysis technologies and methods, enhancing counterintelligence, intelligence collections, mission-enhancing science and technology, improving mission support capabilities, increasing organizational effectiveness, empowering partnerships, and other innovative capabilities.

The Department of Defense (DoD) Mentor-Protégé Program was established in November 1990 to respond to concerns raised by DoD prime contractors that many Small Disadvantaged Businesses did not possess the technical capabilities to perform DoD subcontract requirements, making it difficult for large prime contractors to achieve their SDB subcontracting goals.  The program provides incentives for DoD contractors to assist protégé firms in enhancing their capabilities and increases participation of such firms in Government and commercial contracts.
