Command Chief Master Sergeant Arleen K. Heath

Senior Enlisted Advisor

Chief Heath was born and raised on Guam and entered the Air Force in 1986. She completed Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, TX in June 1986 and completed technical training as an aerospace control and warning systems journeyman at Keesler AFB, MI in August 1986. 

Chief Heath has held a wide variety of tactical, operational and strategic level intelligence positions throughout her distinguished career. Her assignments include Surveillance Instructor and Evaluator, 11th Tactical Control Group, Elmendorf AFB, AK; Surveillance Training NCO, 932nd Air Defense Squadron, Rockville Air Station, Iceland; NCOIC of Current Operations, Air Defense Operations Center, Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, CO; NCOIC of Standardization and Evaluation, 81st Air Control Squadron, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan and 611th Air Control Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, AK; Flight Superintendent, 611th Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Command Flight, Elmendorf AFB, AK; Chief Enlisted Manager for Operations, 603rd Air Control Squadron, Aviano AB, Italy; Superintendent for School Operations, 325th Air Control Squadron, Tyndall AFB, FL; Superintendent, 325th Operations Group, Tyndall AFB, FL; Command Chief, 460th Space Wing, Buckley AFB, CO; Command Chief, Air Force Personnel Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, TX; Command Chief, 376th Air Expeditionary Wing, Manas Transit Center, Kyrgyz Republic; and as the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Agency, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, TX. Chief Heath became the 18th Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Defense Intelligence Agency and assumed responsibility as the fifth Command Senior Enlisted Leader for the US Strategic Command’s Joint Functional Component for ISR on 24 August 2014.
 
Chief Heath’s military education includes the Noncommissioned Officer Preparatory Course, Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Chief Master Sergeant Leadership Course, Command Chief Candidate Orientation Course, Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education Correspondence Course, and the Keystone Command Senior Leadership Course.  She has also completed the Center for Creative Leadership Development Course, Air Force Smart Operations for the 21st Century Course, United States Air Force Enterprise Management Seminar at the Darden School of Business, and the United States Air Force Senior Leadership Course - Gettysburg Leadership Experience,.  Chief Heath has earned an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Airway Science from the Community College of the Air Force and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Occupational Education in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University.

Chief Heath’s personal awards and decorations include, but not limited to the Bronze Star with oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with seven oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Air Force Achievement Medal.  Chief Heath holds many other honors and distinctions including aerospace control and warning systems technical training Honor Graduate, NCO Preparatory Course Distinguished Graduate, NCO Academy John L. Levitow Award Recipient, and the SNCO Academy Distinguished Graduate. She was also selected as her unit’s Airman of the Year in 1988, NCO of the Year in 1994 and 1997, and SNCO of the year in 2000.
