KRIVAK FRIGATE, Brian McMullin,1978. One of the major successes of the Russian shipbuilding industry, the Krivak class frigate first appeared in the late 1960s. Its armament and efficient design made it a threat to Western navies. Operating as an escort ship, hte latest version has added a helicopter flight deck and hangar.
