BSI Admissions Requirements

A minimum of 30 credits must have been earned in the classroom of a regionally accredited college. Additionally, applicants must satisfy the General Education Requirements, prior to matriculation, of nine credits in Communication Skills, including six credits in Composition; 12 credits in Math/Science, including three credits in Math and 15 credits in the Humanities/Social Sciences/Fine Arts. Applicants should have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale and will be asked to submit a brief writing sample.

Applicants who are have not yet finished all the General Education Requirements may still apply for the BSI program and may be accepted on a conditional basis that all requirements are fulfilled before the commencement of the academic year. These students will be required to submit a Credit Completion Plan to the Admissions Office detailing coursework to be taken including course title, location, credits and dates.

Admissions Counseling

Prospective students may request to have their academic records reviewed by the College Admissions Office to determine whether they are eligible to apply for undergraduate study. To request an evaluation, applicants should forward all their academic documentation, together with a cover note stating the request and providing name, address, phone number and e-mail information. Legible copies are acceptable for an informal evaluation; official copies are preferred. The Admissions staff will evaluate the applicant’s credentials and provide feedback, as well as make recommendations on how to meet any remaining eligibility requirements.

Admissions Deadlines

Individuals should contact their education, training, or human resource personnel to determine the deadline for their particular organization. The College begins screening applications in October each year for admissions the following August. An incomplete application or missing materials may result in a significant delay in the final admissions decision. It is up to students to ensure that all of their materials have been ordered and received.
