| Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence |
Program Goals |
| The MSSI program enables our students to: |
Know the global context that shapes the world system and understand the complexity, velocity, and interdependency of world issues and events. |
Shape the national intelligence community’s future ability to close intelligence gaps and forecast dangers posed to our national security. |
Work through collaboration and teamwork while recognizing each individual’s area of specialization and expertise. |
| Electives |
Elective courses provide students the opportunity to explore strategic topics in more detail. Our electives cover four areas of study: |
Military Strategy: Intelligence in Combat and Peacetime |
Intelligence Community Issues and Management |
Transnational Threats: Intelligence Challenges |
The Geostrategic Environment: Closing Intelligence Gaps |
| Core Curriculum |
The core curriculum is designed to have students develop global awareness, and understand how historical, economic, cultural, political and social contexts affect intelligence and national security. Such understanding is essential for a program founded on the premise that world events can only be understood by employing a variety of disciplinary perspectives, and that they must be understood in a global, regional, and local context.
| Skills, Competencies, and Intelligence Capabilities |
Students in the MSSI program must write and present their ideas effectively, learn independently, use technological tools, retrieve information and evaluate sources, and develop critical and independent thinking, tolerating complexities and ambiguities. |
