The John T. Hughes Library serves as the primary open-source research and information resource for the National Defense Intelligence College and the analytical staff of the Defense Intelligence Agency.

The library plays a key role in enhancing the competence of intelligence professionals by providing our patrons open-source academic research assistance, instruction, and comprehensive collections and tools that support the curriculum of the College and the open-source intelligence requirements of the agency.
