Alumni
The NDIC Alumni Association ( www.ndicfoundation.org ) is the newest and fastest growing element of the NDIC Foundation, working to keep NDIC alumni in touch with their alma mater, providing opportunities for professional and social interaction among alumni, and providing support to the College. Established in 1998, the Alumni Association includes members from the Class of 1963 through the current graduating class.
Association Purpose
- To foster alumni connections to the College
- To foster and to renew contacts among NDIC alumni
- To promote the NDIC and its educational objectives
- To sponsor and to hold events of high value to the larger defense and intelligence communities.
Membership
All persons holding degrees or certificates of completion from the NDIC or its previous iterations, that is, the Defense Intelligence College or the Defense Intelligence School, may be members of the Alumni Association. Those persons who do not satisfy this membership requirement may become members of the NDIC Foundation itself. Membership in this private organization is renewed annually.
Membership Benefits
By joining the Alumni Association, you have the opportunity to support the College after graduation, contribute your ideas and talents, and stay in touch with fellow alumni throughout the community. Some of the specific benefits include the following:
Publications . Alumni Association members receive a yearlong subscription to these publications:
- The Defense Intelligence Journal – a scholarly journal published semi-annually by the NDIC Foundation.
- The Perspective – the Alumni Newsletter.
Events . Alumni are invited to participate in the many events held throughout the year, including the following:
- Lunchtime Distinguished Speakers Series – This monthly event is usually held in the Defense Intelligence Analysis Center on Bolling Air Force Base, either as a catered luncheon in the Bowman Room or as a lecture in the Tighe Auditorium.
- “ From Generation to Generation” Dinner Series – Up to eight alumni and current students dine in town at a local restaurant with one of our distinguished alumni. Participants pay their own way. Having a small group allows for free flowing conversation among the attendees and for the sharing of stories from the careers of the distinguished alumni with the next generation of intelligence-community leaders.
- Happy Hour and Other Social Events – These events are held periodically. Watch for announcements in the newsletter as well as www.JMICfoundation.org.
- Annual NDIC Alumni Association Homecoming – October.
